Picking out the harder shoots is a totally ethical way of sandbagging.

Oh, God! Don't hope that. It's my first since my wrong glasses/lose chokes debacle at the 2014 National Intercounties. I need a confidence boost.Eriswell lodge has their first reg 100 sporting this Sunday. Will be nice to only travel 15 minutes, hope its a stiff round as my average has jumped up a bit lately after shooting a few soft rounds.
hope the weather has held. It's been terrible at home. Mix of hail and rain storms. Review and scores in my inbox just after you've read this! Will be the first time at Horne for me today.
i have wanted to go there too, maybe soon! let us know your impressions ?Will be the first time at Horne for me today.
you will never get down into A class shooting Horne.Well I didn't see Bebo today, but I did meet Skeet UK and Sibaldib. Good to see you guys.
Weather was fine for me, almost warm when the sun appeared. I thought this shoot did resemble it's older reputation of being a bit soft. A few good targets just needed the trap pushing out 20 yards to make them worthwhile. As it happens, I tripped up badly on the stand on the corner of the field with the orange edgey battue, only hitting it once! Just couldn't make myself shoot dead at it. Otherwise I would have netted a slightly easy PB.. A pleasant morning if not the biggest test.. It has been trickier there in recent shoots I thought.
It was the nearest one today. Good practice for precision shooting at subtle angles, which isn't my strength.. Got lots of Southdown, Four Counties, Weston, Owls due next, to balance things out..you will never get down into A class shooting Horne.

Horne was a biggish entry, probably 150. They had 260 on bank holiday! Most since the 80's I gather.Gunsite was very testing to say the least. The wind made it even more testing. Prob 160 down there long queues..
Even I felt the cold today which was really unlike me.Horne was a biggish entry, probably 150. They had 260 on bank holiday! Most since the 80's I gather.
Very muddy there, but no biting wind like Gunsite, which is endurance in that respect..
We were easy to spot, two very unprofessional looking couples that were missing quite a lot.Well I didn't see Bebo today, but I did meet Skeet UK and Sibaldib. Good to see you guys.

Horne is a lesson in careful execution of fast edgey stuff. You always feel daft when you miss stuff there, but it's fiddly. That teal there needed perfect hold point, especially being the second target. No, I don't think so. I was in black jeans, blue fleece jumper and baseball cap that's seen much better days and my sister-in-law was in a mustardy coloured beretta jacket and a grey woolly hat.
Was a bit annoyed with myself today overall. Was much too complacent and didn't concentrate as much as I should have. On the stand with the orange incomer and midi teal, I stood and watched how wonderfully the first incomer broke instead of getting into position for the teal and ended up chasing through it and missing. Kicked myself, knuckled down and hit the rest. Just stupid really.
