Looking for storage in kent area as live with wifes parents and they dont want a gun in the house any body know of anywhere thanks

Did you not have to specify on your shotgun application where you intended to store any guns? I notice another post by you, says you're just waiting for your certificate to come back.

I wasemt buying a gun to start with because my wife didnt want me to have one ! She has now come round but her parents havent so need to find somewhere to store a gun. Every time iv had a lesson i have had a different gun so would like to use my own so need to find somewhere !

Don't think there's anyway of commercially storing one anywhere. Best thing is to put it in a good friends cabinet and put all each other guns on your certificates. Or you may be forced to get rid, don't know if an RFD can store it for you?

Well it does exist (www.rayward.co.uk) but I'm pretty sure it doesn't come cheap...

[edit] I tell a lie, 12.50 a month, not exactly cheap, but not nearly as high as I'd expected. You would have to go to knightsbridge to pick it up though...

Most any Gun Shop or Dealer will lodge your gun for a price, but I think the OP wants to be able to access the gun when he shoots.

In which case he is best off transferring it to a friend who he shoots with.

Greenfields at Sturry will store it for you. I don't know the cost though.

Could be better to get your own place, that way you can tell the in laws to $$$$ off!

That would be ideal to get my own place but then i cant afford to go shooting . i have no freinds that shoot yet either so there gun cabinet is out of the question ! Greenfeilds is looking good cus i can just shoot there then thanks

Open 6 days a week so if you only shoot there for the time being no problem. They've got facilities for cleaning your gun on site also which will be helpful.

Had a result my best mate is going to apply for his so i will be able to put it in his cabinet which were going halfs on ! Excited now .

Don't forget to keep working on the in-laws to educate them how safe guns are. Their lack of knowledge is what's contributing to their reluctance to allow you to house your guns in their home. Education is key!
