My old 686 and current 682 both shoot high.

Only had berettas so I don't know any different.

I suppose it depends what we all call high, guns are meant to shoot a little high as Westward says but unless it smokes a going away clay with clear day light between the bead and clay I'd say that's just normal.

With a high-ish comb like most of the Italian sporters, it must be tricky for those who choose not to see any rib. Berettas suit me fine though because I like my line of sight just above the rib. I suppose that means it will shoot high relative to the bead, but then I don't see the bead so it matters not to me.

I could be doing it wrong, but to be honest, once I have mounted the gun and can see the bead just the once in the right place, I forget all about it and just look for the clay. Where my head goes the gun goes, and sometimes I hit them :)

Wez.

I agree with shaun i have owned about 12 beretta over the years (all trap models so cant comment on sporter) and none have shot flat in fact far from it. Is op gun a trap ?
Yes Ian I've owned several Beretta trap guns over the years too, all shot way too high for me until I had the stocks altered. Seems to be a common thing.

Yep agreed, we have done this topic to death on various similar threads, think in future I shall just post a link to one of them :)
