Well boys I love my MacWets. the grip is great especially in the rain (like last week in Porto.....which was just like it is today :-( frown) and the mesh back short cuff ones that I have makes it feel that you do not have any on. And I can still get at my fags without taking then off.......big bonus (wink)

Exactly the same as golf gloves, I have both, but as they have shooting written on em they are 4 times the price as usual

I picked up a Musto 'lightweight' jacket off eBay, and it's not especially 'lightweight' and takes up half my site bag!!

Now wondering if a golf jacket would have been a better option.

Don't get me wrong, it's a beautifully put together jacket, but it's quite substantial.

After work today and in preparation for Sunday's Berkshire FITASC, I picked up a Ram waterproof suit from my local American Golf store. Also picked up some all weather, waterproof gloves with grippy palms. Depending on how the trigger finger feels I may yet cut that about. All in £66

Well done Tobi, a little bit expensive, but then it is worth more than that to keep dry and comfortable. Just make sure they don't make you sweat.

That was the cheapest one there! Some of them £150-200+

Not much I can do about the sweat. I've bought it now. Anyway, it's for very occasional use. If it wasn't the Berks Champs I'd be staying at home.

Might just take a trip to my local American Golf after watching West Ham fail miserably at automatic promotion

Good luck to the Saints Tobi

I have the Musto but like Optima I can't shoot in the bloody thing due to lumps and bumps.

I bought a Karrimor jacket yesterday for the FITASC which felt OK in the shop but I won't be able to shoot in it so it's going back :( Have another waterproof jacket and my Henri Lloyd offshore racing jacket to wear when not shooting.

Jon.

Bought a Musto... bit fed up with it as after 18 months it leaked badly across shoulders and it wasn't cheap. I've tried spraying it with water repellent coating but always end up cold and damp.

Golf waterproofs under a skeet vest seem to work

Musto have a known problem of leaking at the seams, send it back for a repair FOC.

I haven't personally, but many of my friends have bought the Musto shooting coat and they have all leaked at the shoulder seams, all repaired or replaced.
