Steve @ ally Dont try to change a thing life is never perfect or smooth...its pretty obvious you have it right thats why 250 people turned up!!! 14 stands of different challaging targets.. :) ok yep some cues and club house busy etc etc....thats life ;) Great shoot.
Well said there matey and agree well done to all at Westfield Steve,Ally and all the refs as that must have been one hell of a long day thank you for your efforts :good:

Hey Peter how do you know it wasn't me that wrote it , surely your not saying I'm dishonest and whoffully are you ????? .

Steve
Steve, it's not you, the writing is joined up!

Do not change anything. cast your mind back to those days in January/February when we still turned up. You even drove the guns round on the quad for us as it was too cold to carry em.

People are turning up, why change (apart from the low driven)

Long day for all your staff, you and Ali, well done.

Keep the 100 birders ticking over though mate.

Stew

Steve / Ally,

Thanks for the prompt and honest reply it is very much appreciated. The reason i put the fact i enjoyed the shoot overall first in my review was that is what is the most important aspect over and above "niggles" (and they are just that not a day wrecker just not quite perfect).

You made a good impression on this shooter rest assured of that and you have added to that with your reply here.

You were unlucky that the booking in que simply transferred to the kitchen que i guess and i have to say once i got the food it was great and vanished down in double quick time. You have to say well done to the people who chipped in and helped you in the Kitchen and the venue gave no indication it was running on generator with such a nice clubhouse etc. Hopefully your new helper was not put off by the experience as ALL the shooters i saw at the time i ate were very good with her and quite patient.

Yep - have to say i would not have wanted to be your teenager Sunday morning - .!

Most of all thankyou for your clarification on the entry pricing at your shoots it does help going forwards as i now know what to expect. I guess its common sense to make sure that the "Guaranteed" prize fund is covered in the entry cost for the most part and this is reflected in the price per target. It just did not occur to me about the prize fund when i booked in and right up until you typed it above.

I am so used to ALL my standard registered skeet is birds only with no prize funds or High Gun prizes to guarantee and they just pay back in each class depending on competition entries. I am so used to the fact that a £26-£29 birds only skeet shoot has nothing to cover / guarantee prize wise that it lead to my "Oh Ok" moment on booking in as your huge prize fund was not in my thoughts.  I am one of the shooters who never shoots competition outside of the big "major" shoots but fully appreciate those that want too.

I have to say based upon the 33p per clay you give above for 100 targets is perfectly reasonable at £33 birds only for 100 sporting given the 12 referees / extra trappers. Been poking around your website and see you offer 3 other grounds also - Windrush, Weston and Garlands on a regular basis and at the prices above i suspect you will see me again. I will make sure to introduce myself if its less busy.
