This ones gonna be short and sweet :( as I am currently drowning my sorrows with vast quantities of sauvignon blanc.

What can I say, nice weather, decent track, enjoyed some stands but made a real horlicks of many more :( very dissapointed with my shooting as I felt really good after last weekend and a good practice session yesterday but the wheels fell off big style.

Started on the platform, 2 away. Straight on the "dancefloor" funky feet needed there, then a blank on the long midi and chondel then straight on the simo incomers and it kind of went much the same for the rest of the round. Famine or feast, mostly famine.

Chris Childerhouse (92) was HG when I left with most of the rest of AA mid-high 80s and an 87 leading C (nope that isnt a typo)

Shot a very crap 58 which was a nowhere score and unfortunately wont even be a dropper

87 in C - ouch.

Westfield has torn me a new one before, and then I came back strong there - so it may still end up a dropper by the end of the classifications.

frustrating thing is it shouldnt have been that bad, the course was very shootable (as shown by the 87 and a pair of 78s) was a bit breezy but thats no excuse whatsoever. Sitting here thinking what went wrong and really cant pin point anything drastically wrong.

Hey-ho no shooting now til the E/O and I can see that being a disaster too. Might just oversleep

Remember the power of the mind, positive self talk and sticking to your routine - you may have just been trying to hard to match your expectation, rather than letting it happen...

Martin Myers on 96 when i left got to stop think about it more practise i think :)

Thats a decent score, 96. Overheard Chris saying 94 would be about right.

Thats the strange thing Phil, did nothing different to last Monday at Southdown, apart from stayed dry :.: Chatting to the missus on the way round, same traffic lights, same resets after no birds, just didnt happen today. The straight after the blank proves my head was in about the right place, in the past I would have completely self destructed.

Keep at it more practise you will get there just try remember the good bits ;)

Fuzrat, dont let it worry you.

We all need to practice at these grounds, different land, targets and layout make all the difference.

Never let your scores at a ground get to you, you may be learing more than you think!

I shot a 110 ex 120 at hornet this morning, but was sat in the 70s at westfield dropping birds on the last pair every stand- all in the head.

Steve - Hornet was 100 ESP.... I think you were up as 90 ex 100 when I left...

That'll do it dude... long waits, lots of no birds... did you also see the scorer that said 'No bird' when someone missed a pair... when they hit 1 - he said 'one bird' - genius!

Yeah, the stand that seemed to break every other bird and then the teal trap fell over backwards!

Had to take my card away quickly and shoot something else before i either had a fit of giggles or a cry

before last weekend Ed. Put nearly 500 shells through it since though. just seems I put a decent score together then the next week it goes mammaries up. Scores graph is more up and down than a paris hilton video :(

Came away with a 65 from westfield today to many 4's on the scorecard and no straights
