Nice to return to this shoot as it has been off for a while.

A good shoot as ever, but very wet underfoot and pretty tough in the air too. Apparently the wind had caused a few stands to be tougher than was intended. With only part of the woods useable, in most cases targets were pushed further out by a North wind. I would say that out of 23 targets, 1 was a doddle; the rest ranging from tricky to tough. Nothing ludicrous but not a lot of respite. Enjoyable, just not an ego builder!

Only three straights for me and a couple of really bad stands left me on a 79. I feel that will be 4 or 5 short for the A win.

I shot with Banger and another mate, hitting 81 and 74 respectively. 88 was leading when I left, with a few good shots still to finish. Chris C just starting, I reckon a 92 or 93 for him if all went well.

Anymore news anybody?

Good shoot as always , I had a really bad start droping 8 targets over 3 stands , so was pleased to end up on 80 ,

Well recovered Dean. Hate to pee on your chips though, the scoreboard had you on 79 with me..

91 leading A class (well shot stew/sleepy hollow) and was also HG when we left with just a few scores to come in.

I had to send the divers into the pond to recover my wheels.

Kirk Bridges won on 92 chris c 91.

Good shoot steve,Im sure i saw an alligator up round the back there somewhere :) :)

I think you had to be on top of two particular stands to do well today. I wasn't!

The one past the pond, two R-L crossers and the other one was the high looper from the floor to the right and r-l tower crosser. I hit half on both those..

Well shot Kirk. I thought 91 was shy but I was hoping. Nice to be amongst the big boys and good to hit a 90+ at a Steve & Ali shoot. Nice to to be on the leader board for a change, TipTop putting me to shame each week in his class.

Ask them to keep your card. Worth framing!

Well last week I couldn't wait to get to the next stand this week I couldn't wait to get back in the car.And where did those pink clays come from no good if your over 55 and as for the rabbit stand I had to look at my card to see five kills had no idea when shooting.Well done to those with the big scores but for me if your allowed to moan on hear any more a horrible shoot and I can't beleive the same man that set westfields up the week before set that today.I think windrush the day before would have been time better spent setting up the wood.

thanks to all that came another great turnout and good to hear all positive comments about target presentation and variety

I guess it's horses for courses Jim, a technical shoot isn't for you and you didn't enjoy it, fair enough.  Not everyone wants to shoot 60 yard crossers stand after stand, it actually becomes boring.  Quite a few straighted the rabbits or at least scored highly so it wasn't ridiculous - just needed some extra thought or a different lens?.  I guess some people can figure that out, some can't.  Some can shoot technical shoots, some can shoot big targets - doesn't make one right and one wrong.  In my honest opinion in all the shoots I've visited in the years I've been doing this and before, there isn't really such a thing as a sh*t shoot.  A target travels from A to B and you've got to break it before it gets to B.  Don't over complicate it.

You had a bad day but plenty didn't, they shot scores they have never done before - Stuart for one, 91!  Jason Mclean 76 in C - perhaps you're more cross with yourself than me.

I don't see how you can get board shooting 60 yard crossers and my lens on the rabbit stand was better than c bloxham he shot 3 but then what would he know.
