Nice cool morning, perfect light (overcast) and several thousand tons of ground water had drained away since last time. No excuses!
I met with Teepee and Mark Jones for a round of enjoyable company. We set off starting by the pond and went clockwise. Was this the easier bit to begin on? Dunno.. But I was just dropping the odd bird to be 6 down after 7 stands. Not unhappy with that, as a few good stands were under my belt. Then I decided to drop another 7 on the sim teal and rl crosser. Disaster! Actually it was 6 but the ref couldnt see the crosser shot through the tree.. Did this hard stand need to be a sim pair?
I then shot the rest with a rattled head, missing three easy ones in addition to a few that just deceived me. Ended on 82, which should have been a lot higher really. Even with the disaster stand..
I believe Martin Myers was leading on 94, but others still to come in.
Another nice shoot with the whole circle in use, great.
How did we all do then? Saw a few familiar faces and car park looked busy when I left.
