another good set of targets at WW

went round wih Jason [well shot] off this site and met a few pals  on the way round

same old errors for me, over leading most targets as usual , the only target that i under led was the battue which i was surprised at how much that needed

timing all over the place at the moment, too much going on between the ears at present

however had the pleasure of watching stevescottsmith nearly straight the pool shoot, very nice shooting steve,my best was an 8

Yes, pretty happy, the placement of the scotch tape is ok too, to correct the slight left eye dominance  Turns out I was over prescribed, now have different prescription in my shooting glasses than my day to day so ideally should put my shoot glasses on as soon as possible before the shoot

The glasses were not the reason for the poor performance - mostly mis reading the clays - giving them too much respect especially quartering targets as usual

the stand on the scaffold i overled, cutting the lead on both targets i finally got them - seems if im not too sure what lead to give them i over compensate -

infuriating habbit

Interesting. I'm still shooting with no glasses, but in time that will change.. Hopefully a few years..

Yes I do remember that you rarely miss behind. I have the same problem on most misses. I think the early days of learning prove that you always need more, then as you get experienced (and are putting the leeed on fine) your brain still says 'add' if in doubt. Up the tower, I missed the rl bird by being so concerned about my over leading that I was behind. Then I gave it less. The next two were dead via extra leed but its rare that I miss behind. I think one of the reasons I have improved in the last year is down to more careful muzzle control, which effectively reduces leeed. My appalling stand last Sunday was a complete brain time-warp back 2 years. Way too much on both..

interesting point regarding muzzle control

i definately felt the lack of it sunday
