Don't forget 4 safety pins, to pin your number on your shooting jacket, so you can leave em on there for weeks to come!

In a word  -  Everything you need. Even those "just in case" items.

I am the one carting around a very big bag!

Definitely don't underestimate the 'fuel' you need to take round, even on a cold day you can dehydrate very quickly and in my experience that affects the eyes quickly - and food/snacks.... something you can eat that will keep you fuelled as you go round, fruit, nuts, low sugar cereal bars, foie gras.... whatever works for you. We have some members with good skills in nutrition, they maybe able to advise what works best...

Also - it might be worth planning your diet for the day - I know that tradition dictates a porky/bready based treat in the morning, but a wise man told me that processing those carbs will slow you down and sap your energy. So it may be worth finding a better breakfast to fuel you, some healthy snacks on the way round and then saving the fry-up until after the shoot as a reward for your massive score.

my advise is to take exactly the same as you do for a normal registered shoot , and that includes also your enjoyment factor , they may shoot a little harder but on the whole are no different , come to the classic sporting this year and share an atmosphere like never before , last year was fantastic

Do many people use Hamiltons?

I haven't seen / used Christine for years. :nyam:

:fie:  What a lot of shooters forget to take with them to a major shoot is their brain!

Thanks Matt.

Yes, I always carry water and try not to eat anything "heavy".

Main reason for asking, is because of the longer days, more targets etc and there is usually some "nugget" of experienced info.

I think I might need a shoootclay patch, maybe the Black cap too!
