Yay - looking forward to the first big shoot of the year :)

Fingers crossed that the weather will hold out :)

I'm practising locally on Saturday and then Brookbank on Sunday (10/3); really hoping the rain stays away!

Oxney on Saturday, ( Their first weekend of CPSA registered Skeet ) and The Kingsferry on Sunday..... Looks like its going to be a wet one at the minute..!

This weekend is the second of the Essex selection shoot at Parkford nr Clacton and on Sunday back at Dartford.  :nyam:

Broadmoor tomorrow (16/3)

Southern Counties Sunday (17/3)

Not the best of forecasts, but still looking forward to it!

Shot our last County Qualifiers today at Mid Wales.

I was testing out a 'shotspot' to see if I could get along with one fitted to my left lens.

After 20 years of shooting with my left eye closed, it felt like I was starting over again, with what looked like a vastly different sight picture.

Stand one to three was no problem, but could I hit the targets from 4, 5, and 6!!! I was all over the place..

Finished on a 19 and a 20, so back to the drawing board for me.. :fie:

I'm off to dabble in OSK for the Devon championship today at Broadmoor, my first registered OSK so should be some fun!

Then off to Gloucester for ESK tomorrow in prep for the English Open next weekend. What's everyone else up too?

(null)

Going to shoot the British open nssa 12g at Northampton to day. first nssa this year for me

Will be fun!

Off to Oxney on Sunday 19th, for some reg. CPSA skeet at Richard Moate's new skeet ground situated at Oxney, Tenterden,Kent (Willow Farm, Reading Street, TN30 7LA) for some fun, nice atmosphere and great skeet targets.

Well my first foray into Olympic skeet didn't do go too badly! Managed 72ex100 18/20/18/16 enough to finish second out of the Devon shooters! Although I did have a bit if a mishap in that part way round the 3rd layout I messed my mount up somehow bringing it up under my arm, it then picked up the skeet vest along with some skin but still pulled the trigger whilst not totally in shoulder or cheek still pulled the trigger, nicely pinching the skin! This affected the last round because it was stinging like a ******, although shooting OSK with 32 inh barrels with extended chokes is not the best of ideas either!

Not in the habit of posting where i will be, but have been at Northampton all weekend for the BSSA - UK Open skeet.

First class event over 3 days and the ground staff, catering staff and the referee's did a great job, Our whole squad only had one bad target all weekend - if any of them read this Thankyou.

I did really well too, so well chuffed.
