I'm just out of the shower with burning hands , and a large scotch, , and it crossed my mind just why would you stand in a field in the poring rain, freezing cold, with a force 9 gale , .

Sod this rain. I'm obsessed with shooting, but it was sofa and movies all the way today. Except when I cleaned my gun for something to do..

Wish i had stopped at home. Driving rain, cold hard targets. Didnt shoot bad considering but after 50 i was wondering what the hell possessed me.

Cleaned my gun too, it got wet :( its currently in bits with the stock off in the spare room :)

Its like marmite !!!! You love it or hate it..... gun still drying out and I love it..:)

You're right, it's crazy. I was doing some coaching on Friday and after 30 minutes on a skeet layout I could hardly move.

Personally, I wouldn't even consider shooting in this weather. Far too cold and no fun at all.

Coz we're mad and we love it, went out, got cold n soaked as did the gun, shot 14% up on my average, think I may have won me class, all in all, a good day out...

Well I went to the shooting show today, got wet through just getting from the car park to inside, but consoled myself on the way home with the nice/lovely/wonderful MK38 Sport Teague that my lovely wife bought me as an early birthday pressie.

Chuffed or what  - grin still not subsided.  :yahoo:

Gun cleaned and polished waiting to be tried.

'Gun cleaned and polished waiting to be tried.'

PhilS,

If my wife had bought me that for a present, I would have posted at 10.23 p.m.

" I'm all clean and polished and waiting to be tried"

At 11.23.p.m. ( if I was not still occupied ) I would have posted 'Mmmmmmm'. :mole:

Unfortunately Salopian, I was still working when I wrote that and as Jude had to be up at silly o'clock (5am) today she was safely in the land of nod.

Otherwise my posts may well have matched your thoughts!!
