Great place now!  Sean has put a lot of effort and work into it, looks lovely.  And new PROPER toilets now, with running hot water and EVERYFING!!

I'll be there tomorrow Matt, get on down!
Would live to... But at Westfield for Fitasc.... I will get one in there soon.

69.....

Only thing worse was getting it as a back number in a Worlds.....

Grrrrr

That must have been at Northampton.

It was. It's not often i've not wanted to shoot but that was one occasion. I was lucky, some of the other guys tried to shoot targets that were just about unshootable.

No idea, i try to forget such occurrences. But an abt selection shoot at nutty last year must be on the shortlist not because i didnt hit them but because they did not break.

I saw the forecast and took my side x side and i'am glad I did,as some shooters on my squad missed high 1 and low 7 because the wind was pushing their guns sideways. I hit 89 which I was quite pleased with.

It was standing in an inch of water that I found most off-putting. That and the fact my squad had a fifteen minute argument between rounds 3 and 4 as to whether it was safe to be out directly under an electrical storm. Most of that argument was about how one calculates the distance a storm is from you. Someone actually started a sentence: "No, if you consider the speed of sound is..."  :banghead:  Then the minute we finished the storm moved along and there were bright blue skies and sunshine!

The guy before me tried to shoot a pair. He shot the first and turned the gun round but the second had hit the floor 2 feet beyond the centre stake behind the DTL trap house. The referee called loss! He said he'd been told so long as the target doesn't leave broken it's acceptable whether or not it's shootable.

A shame really because it turned the event into a joke.

Yes and most of them made their feelings known....

No one would buy the number off me though.....

Back in 1998 I made the white gold final at weston park and bloody hell I thought I was good, got there in plenty of time on the Sunday and the wife suggested I had a practice at something or other. The only thing I could find was a fifty bird compact kind of thing, set up as what I know now as FITASC kind of birds. Well I paid my money and waited my turn and ended up on the same line as mr Digweed

I shot 7 ex 50 and George missed his last bird for a straight. I came off and the mrs said, I thought you were good, I said yeah so did I,

Who the bloody hell is that bloke, it was then that I realised that it was a long way to the top ( but I'm still trying )

Hmm three weeks ago I produced a stunning 18/50 at my local, on the interclub competition. So my score is on the internet for all to see :banghead:

I know I was somewhat stressed and my mind was not on the job at hand.

Next time out, they'd only moved one of the stands around, and I hit a good 36.

Ho hum.

Bad scores happen to everyone including the top shooters, oh yes believe it. You just have to ride it out.
