well after 18 month break from any competitive shooting due to medical problem (neck nerve issue) i re-joined the cpsa on the 31st may .. and still i have not received my card and membership details :cry: .. hope its here sometime this week

isn't the ban in reference to shooting game, wildfowl (already in place for foreshore), bunnys etc and not clay shooting ?? I already know of one ground i use (west kent) which has banned steel due to damage it causes to trees and also noise levels (so i believe) so if it does inc clay shooting...

evo as clever has said quarter + half or half+half would cover most grounds .. regards buying a o/u .. have u shot with one ?? u said u have been shooting sxs for 38yrs and it would be a good idea to try an o/u before u buy one .. u may find u don't like it as much as an sxs and theres nothing...

suppose it really is each to their own with whatever size u choose .. as long as it suits u and u can shoot with it what the hell .

it does go on .. fact ! Ive been at plenty of shooting grounds and this has openly been the topic of conversation .. those involved have no intention of ever shooting for country etc (prob due to age) and quite often shoot 'targets only' at reg shoots for practice then enter the ones they hope...
