Sporting Shoots; where- and how was it? (2018)

Shot Grange Farm in that 'Wind' The guy who set it up tore his own card up after 4 stands. NUF SED. On an ordinary windless day it would have been a challenge.  But with that wind it was silly.  Course setter could have taken that into account.  It was won on 95, but first thing there was no...

eley superb felt what else compares

Express 7.5s are a true 7 shot. That's probably why you were hammering the normal targets. I'd stick with the chokes you are using instead of opening them up.

    Greenwood gunsmiths

So then, went out, still coughing and spluttering from a bout of (real) flu, and shot below par.  Nothing to do with the gun.  It was superb.  The felt and perceived recoil had diminished to a mild push. The gun felt amazing.  The subtle changes put in by Tim have transformed a gun I thought was...

This is better lighting. Gun felt amazing. Less recoil probably down to a different hand position. Gun fit is perfect. It even smells nice too!  Tim knows an awful lot about gunfit.

I have to say.....Tim Greenwood knows his stuff. Look what he's managed to do with my very plain looking Perazzi HPX stock.  The new fit to my hand is simply sublime. What a top bloke and a great family. The finish and grain are what I'd expect to see on a top English gun. Thanks Tim. You have...

    DTL Shooter shot in France

The problem with Autos, is that if not handled properly, the barrels are always in line with the action.  I.E., loaded or unloaded, the pin is inline with the barrel.  An over & Under, you can clearly see the action is broken and is not in a position to fire unless closed. All of this is...

LH Gun Sold as RH Gun

He misses with Bad technique agreed. But a local gunsmith pointed out that he has a LH gun not a RH one. It was all about recourse.  The gunshop in question have offered to take a look and part ex it for him.....however....that means more money to him, and he simply cannot afford to do that. ...

LH Gun Sold as RH Gun

Ladies and Gents, My Brother bought a Brand New Beretta from a well known establishment in the midlands.  Its a 686 Silver Pigeon Deluxe Game scene with wood you'd expect to see on High End Perazzi, he really was that fortunate!  Hes had it a couple years and shoots a few pigeons and a brace...

Wanted: Beretta Silver PIGEON 1 Trap Stock

Afternoon all, My Brother needs a trap stock for his Silver Pigeon Deluxe.  Typically his shoots too flat.  I like Berettas...I really do, but they all shoot too flat. Anybody got one or can recommend where I can get one? Cheers

24g instead of 28g to learn?

I think the initial post on the thread was for practice if I'm not mistaken.  24 grams are perfect for it.  Saves a few quid to allow you to shoot more.  That always helps.  Once the person learning is of a modicum of skill, then go and find a 28 gram shell that they like.......if they feel they...

24g instead of 28g to learn?

24 gram pattern tighter than 28 gram.  Shoot some cheap Jocker 24grams and watch your clays dust.  I used to shoot 24 grams, lovely to shoot, easy on the shoulder and on the pocket (a little easier).  If you are wanting to practice loads, then go for some cheap 24 gram shells.  You'll be...

    Mobilchokes or Briley or Teague?

Those Kicks chokes are awesome.  They measure about right for the choke size but how they hold a pattern is unreal.  A friend of mine has a 725 Pro-Trap and shooting a Cheddite Universal trap at about 30yds, his 1/4 choke delivered a pattern smaller than a bin lid, and perfectly round.  Awesome...
