Can a ground photo copy your shotgun certificate?

Sorry to bring back an old topic, but the attached article was in the latest BASC magazine (p8). It suggests that OP was right to question the propriety of asking shooters for a copy of their certificate.

    Contact Lenses for shooting

Ed (Lyons), when you say "tuned up for shooting" how different would this be to a regular prescription used by someone who is short sighted, and with no astigmatism worth talking about? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Proofed for steel?

Go for the p-gun and worry about steel later. Is it a dedicated skeet, or MC? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Mental approach.

So peripheral vision picks up the clay in the first place and then hard focus for the shot? I guess that also helps prevent anticipating the clay's direction... Thank you very much! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    ShootClay Sim Day

Subject to dates, would love to do this. Quite possibly 2 guns if there is an extra space to fill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Mental approach.

Sorry to jump in on this, IPS, when you say soft focus out to the side, whereabouts do you mean? And is it the same place for each peg? I was encouraged to keep eyes focused about a foot above where the clays appear. Not sure how much stock I put in that, so always on the look out for better...

    Shootclay cup 2016??

    New Fabarm O/U

When the gun was launched at ShotShow, they said they were considering bringing it to Europe, but it was on sale there first. Probably made over here, but it seemed to be thoroughly marketed at US shooters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Fabarm O/U

Did the Benelli make it over to Europe, and in more than 26" or 28" barrels? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@Salopian do you have any photos or details of the gun?

    Custom earplugs

I've got a few problems with my ears (knackered eardrums) and produce a lot of wax, but have been using custom moulded plugs for shooting and for listening to music for about 12 years now, with no difficulty - the earphone ones are often worn for 8+ hours at a stretch. My current shooting...

    007 coaching

I like Guy a lot, he did a good job of getting my brother and I on the road to clay shooting, and has always been there to help/offer advice when we've needed it.

    Newbie from Switzerland :)

Gruezi, herzlich willkommen! I work in Graubunden, near Chur. Sadly not much in the way of ckay shooting around us...

    Fabarm RS12 Axis Sporter?

Yes, I would recommend it.   I've had a bit of an up and down time with it, but most of the down has been the result of user error around gunmount. It has had one mechanical issue in the year and a half I've had it (it was bought second hand, not mint, but in very good nick): one of the...

    Fabarm RS12 Axis Sporter?

I have a Fabarm axis sporter that I received as a gift, and I like it. We've had our differences, but I am pretty sure, with hindsight, that a lot of it was my doing, not the gun's. There are, no doubt, better guns out there, but if you want one now, this one fits you and your budget, and...

    Armed response

Even in the UK! My house used to be owned by and RFD. For some reason, despite them not having lived here for more than 10 years, the house is still registered as belonging to an rfd. My wife was home alone when I was overseas and she thought someone was trying to get into the house. She...

    Competition and Practice ammo?

I agree with the stick with one cart philosophy. I ran out the other week and someone handed me a box of their 28g carts (I use 28g too) and they were noticeably different in sound and recoil - I'm far from small so noticing the recoil was a bit of a shock.  To avoid that sort of shock it would...

    Skeet guns for skeet shooting

I have an old Miroku skeet gun, fixed cyl chokes, 28" barrels with detachable weights.  It's 80s vintage but in good nick.  You're welcome to try it out, and have Justin work out how to adapt the stock for you if you like it - it hasn't seen much use in the last year or so.

    Site Content

My perception is that the pace of discussion has slowed down a lot, and become tamer, since "Pending Deletion" left.  I don't know if there's direct cause and effect there, but I miss her on here. I've found this place to be invaluable as I've got into shooting. I've been shot down a couple of...

    Recent Purchase Picture Thread!

Sorry, I've been away this week. As Richard (LancsLad) says, it's a DT10 trap.  How is it different to the other ones you've seen?
