525 stock

santa bought me a browning b525 trap one  32"   multichoke  ,   have now shot said gun  mmmm tad too high  in stock for sporting ,  so  should I have gun stock lowered ,  swap gun , or buy 525 sporter stock  ?  I like the 13mm rib  so would a 525 sprter stock fit ?     yes the wife has slapped me , as I should know better !!   :angry:

with this gun being a trap gun its got a middle bead  , I cant figure of eight the beads  , ive got a gap between them  plus I'm missing clays I don't normally .  I shoot sporting pre mounted  always have ,  I can make most guns fit in the shop  but when actually shooting  its a different story . !

Had a 525 sporter was to low in the stock,used a sticky pad to raise the sight picture had it for 5 years.Bought the same gun with adjustable stock,I have to have the adjustable stock pushed all the way in all else I see to much rib or worse I am pushing my head hard into the stock and not enjoying the shooting experience.Both sporters stocks but completely different .

Be careful before you make any changes. Folks get hung up on bead alignment when, providing it's not too extreme, it won't determine the success of the shot. We know that eye position in relation to the bead does not alter point of impact.

Have someone experienced watch you shoot to check fit elsewhere and that you're not inadvertently lifting you head before you change things or spend more money.

That's really bad advice :angel:   adjustable stock is the way to go.

If you didn't change every 5 minutes you'd have been able to buy one easy!!

I have a few 425 stocks kicking about, do you prefer a tighter radius on the grip, like an Italian trap stock?

I could sort you one out for not silly money and work with you until we get it shooting where you want it to...

You could try packing out the 'Top' edge of the recoil pad (Heel). I have put 2 x 3/4" tap washers behind the top of the pad on my 725, it now shoots around 1 foot lower than before.

I will now stand by for the barrage, telling me that you can not make a gun shoot lower by altering the pitch.
