I’ve been using the yellow and can’t believe how much it’s helped me. It’s so much brighter and shows everything up. Wore them today at Barbury no problems, took them off to wipe my eye and the sky was so dark even with no glasses but the yellow was good.

Sorry to hear about your Specs though. I had a similar thing with another High Street well known company. They completely messed up my prescription on the inserts for my Pilla’s twice!

I have used a couple of Evolution Chameleon shooting glasses, one in pink and one in purple for mainly orange clays, very rarely shoot black clays but I think they sell a set of 4 lenses for about £70 which would probably work with most clay colours. I used them in conjunction with single use contact lenses, I tried inserts but could not get on with them and hesitantly tried contact lenses and have to say it has worked for me and is sensible outlay at my skill level.

Where I shoot there is a split of orange and black clays, standard, midis, minis and rabbits. They are against the sky, in woods, across grass, plus DTL, COMPAK and Skeet ranges. Facing in all directions so they get sun in front, behind and overhead at different times. There probably isn’t one single compromise, but I’m trying to avoid focusing so much on which colour in a set to use that I forget that what matters is where I point the barrels.

J H Steward are probably the only shooting lens supplier I’ve found who offers their coloured lens with a photochromic option . I spoke to them last month about getting a new prescription in my ZS frames , but I’m going to have to put it off until the end of the game season . I’ve got yellow to dark on that lens . They supplied the originals and they’ve been very versatile .

Quick update…

I’ve bought myself some Evolution Connect X 4 to use and enjoy until I make a decision about whether I need or want prescription.

Tried them yesterday, very comfortable and effective. The only disapointment was the printing, there’s a lack of quality control somewhere
