What disciplines make up 'all round ' surely its not everything? And where would you shoot it?

25 single barrel DTL, 25 ABT, 25 skeet then 25 sporting. Quite a few grounds put it on from time to time. Good fun.

Yes it is good fun. Shot a registered All Rounder a couple of weeks ago.

Don't think the order of shooting matters though. We shot Sporting first, then Skeet, Single Barrel, ABT

The rules now say that it should be shot DTL, ABT, ESK then ESP.

Never shot trap so could be interesting, I guess for the purpose of this it could be shot with a sporter

Someone better speak to Clacton Gun Club then . . . . . . I just shoot it in the order the referee tells me to

I shot the lot with my Sporting Gun  -  1/4 and 1/2 chokes with EVO 7 1/2's

Some people change chokes and cartridges for each of the four disciplines, and I might consider doing so on the next one, but usually can't be bothered  :D

I had a go at an All Round on Boxing day at Nottingham and District GC, good fun. I used my sporter, the order was DTL-ABT-ESK-ESP.

There's another on Sun 24th Feb If its not to far away for you.

What happens when you have 50 people all waiting to shoot then surely squads must start on all the other disciplines at the same time then rotate.

You can't all start on dtl :))

Ahaaa!   Very good point.

Methinks this needs further investigation, unless there are others on here who can offer an official response?

Why not? Plenty of grounds do. It's squadded so you go out and shoot DTL, it takes 15-20 minutes then you move on, another squad then starts. Nottingham and NOECTC have always done this and it runs like clockwork. The E/O and B/O also ran under this format at Northampton last year after it was added to the CPSA Rule Book (https://www.cpsa.co.uk/userfiles/file/Booklet5.pdf):

"1.16 ALL ROUND

All Registered All Round competitions must consist of 100 targets and be shot in sequence as follows:

25 Single Barrel DTL

25 ABT

25 English Skeet

25 English Sporting

No deviation from the above will be permitted and all four disciplines must be shot in strict accordance with their own technical rules and regulations and shot from approved and registered layouts in each case.

There must be a maximum of 5 shooters in a squad as per technical rules for DTL and English Skeet. Each shooter must start in the same position for each round (e.g. if in position one for Single Barrell DTL then the shooter will commence on position one on ABT, English Skeet and English Sporting)"

No Pressure then? This sounds like a very well thought out set of rules, to give people like me even more to moan about :D   :D   :D  .

I love the CPSA Rules handbook, obviously the first draft is always written on the back of a fag packet, but fails to get amended. :D   :D
Imagine driving down from lets say Lancashire or Sussex  getting to Northampton for 8.45 a.m.  and due to demand your squad doesn't start until 11.30 and then you have  to drive home afterwards.

Ring ahead and book a slot? No different to any other squadded discipline! I'd be more disappointed if I drove all the way to Northampton and had to start on a ball breaking sporting layout while Joe Bloggs and his mates get eased in on DTL or skeet.
