Ips I contacted my dealer and he sent me on the email he received from beretta, it went along the lines of from a functional view point the shotgun is ok

from an aesthetic view point: we can import the gun and remake the superficial treatment (under warranty)

Pls. let me know if you want me to apply for the import permit.

I have 2 more shoots this year I don't fancy shooting the auto in Competition so when there over il I will get the dealer to send it back to beretta for me, Opinions welcome as if I'm doing the right thing. I don't think they will re-coat my action I'd Assume new action an put my Serial number on it, will keep you's posted,

Get it sent back under warrenty, otherwise with the "damage" it will not be worth anything should you want to sell in the future and more to the point it would cost you money outside of the warrenty period to have put right.

Unless the comps are Major ones I would get have it send back sooner rather than later personally.

Sounds like there going to repair the action rather than replace it which is probably better as a replacement action may develope the same problem. Unless your comps are important ones i would send it back now whilst the iron is hot so to speak.

No the Shoots are not Important but that's not the point, I'm going to shoot them and enjoy them, they can fix the gun when I don't need it I should not be without a gun after forking out as much as I did for it, god knows how long before they return it, it's only a few months old so the Warranty running out wont be an Issue, and the 391 is still failing to feed second round maybe 4-5 times every 100, have a carrier Assembly ordered for it, so this time I'm going to suit myself they can fix it when I'm good and ready, thanks for the replies, il let you's know how it pans out, should be sending it back in two weeks after the last shoot, any one got any idea of a turn around time on a gun going back to Italy ?

Had a few back to gmk never been more than two weeks but never had one back to Italy. Only experience with Italy was a factory order (specific rib) DT10 and that was 2 months.

Best of luck.

Sorted the 391 changed the shell carrier put 150 shells thru it today not one failure, now for the DT will keep you's posted

Brierley guns have got a nice one for sale!!!!! Need to speak to Brett Hand

I've already got one parkie but looks like supercharged is toying with the idea!

Brought the DT back with the dealer today the owner wasn't there talked to one of the staff and in his opinion GMK would be the best to deal with rather than beretta, I told him it's in there hands what way they want to go, but I want to be informed of what GMK- beretta want to do to rectify the problem, will keeps you's posted but I'd say it will be months rather than weeks, would there be a chance GMK would just replace the gun as it's only months old if so could I keep the wood on mine

Good luck mate keep us informed.

Spose they might replace it but i doubt it.

Sent an email to the dealer to confirm if my gun was sent to GMK or Italy, the reply was your gun is with GMK and soon as I hear anything I will let you know, so I sent an email to GMK with my contact details so they can go thru me And let me know what they intend to do, got no reply from GMK as of yet ( that was Tuesday )

May be worth caling them mate! Then confirm by e mail what was said in the conversation as a back up!!

Just did that les not good news it has to go back to Italy time frame 6-9 months I am very pissed off not even going to have it for start of next season

Bloody el what a nightmare surely they should replace it or refund you as that is ridiculous. May be worth a strong letter on the grounds of not fit for purpose.

Well that is just not on mate! I don't know how you stand in Ireland, but I think in the UK you would have a legal case against them to repair or replace and I would say that 6 - 9 months is out of order. You could walk to bloody Italy in that time! It may be worth an e mail to Beretta at this point and also to your local trading standards agency if there is such a thing in Ireland. I certainly would not just sit and wait for that amount of time.
