Blaser F3 Barrel and Action Serial Numbers Not Matching - Concern?

Hi

I've agreed a deal with a Blaser dealer for a used Blaser F3, all good.

As part of the deal the dealer is swapping the 30" barrels for a set of unused 32" barrels he has in stock - very happy.

Chance comment from someone today has made me realise that the serial numbers won't match - barrels to action, since the F3 is modular in design - should I worry?

(concerned that if I ever want to sell I'll be stuffed)

When i had a Blaser, the ser number was not on the barrel, only on the action.   :thumbsup:

Well one thing is sure....if you get a jobs worth at customs you will have problems...speaking from experience of course.

Luckily....I spoiled his day...because I had the barrels on the back page :wink: and he was getting sooooo excited :wink:

my f3 barrel did not come with any serial nos and in cyprus customs nearly kept them so when i got back i got them stamped up at blaser and put the numbers on the license so that i would not have any problems next time.

Hi Pete,

the numbers on the barrels/action NEVER match. All barrels and all actions are stamped with there own number. Blaser do this because you can fit all barrels in all actions and they fit without having to change anything at all.

AS Nic said get both numbers in your SGC.

The early F3's just had a serial number on the barrels only, I've never had a Blaser with two different numbers.

The newer ones are just stamped under the top lever.

In my experience  Mk2 barrels do not safely fit on a Mk1 action.
