My son and I used to have 'Nerf Wars' at home.  He had a veritable arsenal of dart firing weaponry and buckets of the damn things ready for the onslaught.  I was fortunate in having 'Mac' on hand to retrieve ammo when I was running low and his personal best was 18 in one retrieve.  Though a day or two later it wasn't uncommon to see an orange dart pop out his @rse whilst doing his business!

Here is a typical Shooting iron for a 5 year old and a 40 year old in a house.

Opponents select a variety of weapons (Take a look there are hundreds of the damn things), 

Create a den (bedroom/Front Room/Garage),

....and then go at each other firing like lunatics until one or the other runs out of ammo....or breath!

Ammo is cheap however........

I would suggest 2 pistols (**** Turpin Style), a Nerf Strike Modulus Assault rifle and a Nerf Blaster in the Den.  That way if Mrs IPS defends your assault you can retire to the den and she won't be able to get through the resultant hail of darts from the Blaster!

Thats what I do anyway and it seems to work for me!
