I love my leather boots, much prefer them to gum boots, but cleaning is a pita..

i always clean them completely with warm water, follow with grangers cleaner, then graingers proof, then three coats of leather treatment and then a coat of wax, all as directed.

is this overkill? Is there an easier routine? Does it need doing every time?

I am cutting some corners of yours - washing them with warm water and coat them with Grangers paste wax.

You don't do this every time you wear them ?
