I'mm sure Sian means well but I suspect that she'd object to men determining her habits of dress.  In that light I'll ignore her's.

AFAIC commando and boxers pose the same problem.  Without constant attention to proper adjustment I found something or another getting uncomfortably pressured all too frequently.  I find that I again concur with the assessment of the situation by Ian even tho the brand recommendations seem perhaps elitist.
I have no dress sense Wonko nor do I care for fashion so I wouldn't mind in the slightest I just wouldn't be listening.  When it comes to underpants though you have a duty to be easy on the eye  :girlhaha:

boxers has to be boxers

that said I'm sure the older gentleman will have a certain problem with gravity. As one gets older then things start to resemble that old skool children's toy Clackers, them i'm sure more support will be required.

Primrose Yellow Y fronts , keeps Percy perky and yellow colour saves washing for a week or two.

I have got some with a cotton lined gusset they are very comfy

If you cook spaghetti you know it is cooked if you throw it at the wall and it sticks.

If you throw your pants at the wall and they stick , it's time for a change.

This is exactly what I mean - all those muscles and just no, no, no, no, no  :feminist: .  Does that emoticon actually say what I think it does, even with my glasses it is very small.
Sian, do you mean the emoticon or the thing in the pants that is very small!!!

That is nothing less than disturbing.   Sort of remindful of  Frank Zappa's tale of the VooDoo Butter Underwear

Sian - - "easy on the eye"???  That is incredibly judgmental and likely inexcusably sexist.  I use functionality as a primary consideration for most things and undergarments certainly.  I can only suggest that if the appearance offends somehow then you are free to not look.  I'm not pretty anyway so my ego will not suffer ....................... much

It's okay Wonko welcome to my world as a woman and I'm definitely into functional despite years of the attempted  brainwash that wanted me to believe my underwear was merely worn to please men rather than keep me bits in order. It never worked I remain unbrainwashed.

. I was talking about the emoticon but now you come to mention it....

It's OK, Sian.  As a massive stud I've been subjected to the same kinds of scrutiny nearly all my life.  I understand.

Sian,

Very interesting, are you really familiar with Charlies bits?

I know Tony may be having some issues with is eyes , but is he really or nearly blind?

Can't he see what is going on?

Nah he's easy going.  Talking of his eyes he's just got his pilla prescription insert and is quite keen to try it out.  He's been shooting at blurs for quite a few years ?

Seen him shoot and if he's been shooting at blurs he must have some sort of Jedi powers!

Seriously he has literally been shooting at nothing but blurs for so many years and in honesty I think this has cost him dearly on some shoots where he just hasn't been able to pick it up properly.  I am really hoping this prescription will help in such cases.   I think we may find that he only wears them for certain targets and will continue without on others.

Oh Christ!

Standing around waiting to enter a cage is going to become a nightmare of mental images of which blokes are wearing what ..... or not!

I am not sure I am qualified to participate in this important discussion but from an observer's point of view, boxers all the way as not even the sexiest of men can pull off wearing Y fronts without reducing women to fits of giggles or queezy stomachs.  I hope this helps.
