Well.

If I would be shooting more skeet, I would go for 2 1/4's and  a 1/2

If I would be shooting more sporting, I would go for 2 1/2's and either skeet or a 1/4 and then buy another later on to make the pair.

The more open chokes, would be a disadvantage on longer sporting targets, whereas the tighter chokes, will still break the close skeet targets.

1/4 and 1/4 all day long, for skeet or sporting.  Just bought a couple from Nigel Teague, brilliant service, inexpensive, included a choke key and a pretty little box!  :hunter:

He can give you the full sp on Muller chokes.

Buy 1 skeet 1 1/4 and a 3/8................ swap the skeet for the 3/8 when moving from skeet to sporting............. simples (or just use the standard invectors that came with gun and shoot 2 more rounds...........
I have a selection of invector fit teagues i am sure there is a way i could send them to you on a loan basis if required for you to try, im mostly shooting trap at the moment so dont need them

I use 3/4 and full ......because I am female and like hitting them hard...!

I'd like to have the same choke in both barrels, So given that I've got Briley invector+, C, IC, M IM & F chokes with the gun should I just add more of the same or in the long run (ie when I've learned to hit clays consistently) would I gain anything from slowly building up a set of Mullers starting off with say U0, then U1......

Wow , I'm glad i just put in two U2's and got on with it , shooting everything with 21gram 7.5's at the moment as well cause I got them cheap.Shoot skeet twice weekly and sporting once a fortnight, seem to be improving well , had i read this first I would of known to miss everything...

Well, that is where you are wrong.

Clays are not usually missed as a result of the chokes...certainly not too much choke.

The benefits of "more" over "less" are well documented.
