That sounds like a great business blueprint, happy members with next to no profit.......at least he will have a small tax bill!!!We are fortunate. Our club don't rip it's members off for Cartridges. He'd rather make just a few pounds on a 1000 and keep his members happy.
You may say its only 2p per shell, I'll say it's £20 a thousand. I know what I'd rather pay plus try googling Kelbrook Shooting School. A top clay shooting venue and very hard to find a shoot has niceThat sounds like a great business blueprint, happy members with next to no profit.......at least he will have a small tax bill!!!
The "cheapest" place I can shoot clays/buy cartridges follow that very same business blueprint, it's "ok", but has a run down feel to it. I'd rather drive a bit farther past them, pay a little more, and shoot clays that turn me on, in a nice place with great facility's.
You do relies you are crying "rape" over about 2p per shell......just to put things into context.
Ah but just because something is more expensive it does not necessarily mean it,s better, quite often the opposite and your paying for the name40UP summed it up very well in an earlier post, if you want to excel you really do have to budget to buy the best that there is, so that you have no doubt about your equipment and can get on with breaking clays without wondering if the one you just missed was you or a duff cartridge. Yes I have possibly been very unlucky with my Olympics, but once you have doubts you have to dispel them.
I have been very happy with White Gold but can't get them easily so I have tried Superbs, Olympics which I actually like better, but now I have decided to try Clever & RC because I have heard NO bad reports about them and get them easily locally, so the extra initial cost is offset by savings in collection/transport costs.
Bought some this week 150, but with all this talk about clever mirage i would like to try some, happy with the kills on olimpics but if i could find something that killed as well or better and was smoother again than olimpics even if they were more expensive i would use them. Recoil is a big part in cartridge choice for me ,hate it :yell: Don,t know anywhere near us that sells clever though.Henry, yes you did thank you and it can also be viewed on your RC visit thread on this board if anyone is interested.
Optima, I think you use Olympics don't you? Now today's price £180 per thousand !!!
where did you pick olympics up for £150 mate. Might have to go get 5K at that price if distance aint too farBought some this week 150, but with all this talk about clever mirage i would like to try some, happy with the kills on olimpics but if i could find something that killed as well or better and was smoother again than olimpics even if they were more expensive i would use them.
