This pm have, on Facebook seen & voted on a poll regarding the hot topic of Plaswad/Fibre cartridge use at CPSA events, if possible please do vote, the more CPSA members that do so gives more validity to its findings

Unfortunately you're not allowed to comment on them otherwise I'd have enquired whether we're allowed to shoot Krieghoffs.

Is it an actual CPSA poll?

The is the poll it is on Facebook it is just her private poll gauging opinion i am sure the CPSA aren't involved in any way,not sure she knows the difference between herself and the CPSA,BICTSF,etc

Its on a few pages but it is not linked so various amounts of people have voted in different places, personally i don't think we want a mass member vote as we know the answer and don't want to make it big enough to attract media attention.

These wad threads are have no overtaken choking as the most tedious subject someone somewhere must have the fibre wad market covered and are rubbing their hands in glee :logik:

This subject is a private poll taken by a CPSA Board member ,I would think to try and judge public opinion for perhaps a hidden agenda.

If it is of any relevance surely CPSA or Ground Owners Co-operative should be organising the Poll?

What on earth could the "hidden agenda" be ? It is (and was) obvious already that the overwhelming majority of us Turkey's aren't going to be voting for an early Christmas, most of us clearly prefer the option of using plastic, if there's any "agenda" it surely resides within those who want to be forcing their own pious (and flawed) environmental views upon us. You can use felt wads if you want as there is no rule against it.

As if a CPSA Poll would produce different results.

Hamid,

You obviously prefer plastic wadded cartridges ?

Why would anyone conduct a poll or survey unless there was a motive behind it?

Could it be that EJ Churchill MAY be considering a championship event using fibre only and our good lady is trying to gauge public opinion before they announce it?

Whatever the decision or the reason , as long as it is strictly policed and we ALL shoot the correct cartridges I doubt it really matters when one considers the envoronmental pollution that clayshooting has on the World .

Why would they need a Poll before they consider running a felt only Championship ?! There are already plenty of grounds that run non plastic shoots albeit non registered, people know the right combination of felt/gun is as capable as plastic in breaking targets, the reasons many don't like them has also been discussed and include greater recoil, cost, confetti and of course their not being suited to many over bored barrel dimensions............................come to think of it you have always dissed DT11 haven't you. 😋 😝 😊

Any such Championship will inevitably have a small proportion who simply wouldn't consider it because of that requirement, hundreds will book and turn up but its "success" should not be taken as a green light to start loading the gun that's sure to shoot ourselves in the foot. ;)

Bearing in mind the English has already been allocated to WMSG, must be considering giving EJC the British and going fibre only. Maybe the poll taker is arguing in favour of plastic, not forced to be argueing against it only, who knows??

i cannot honestly see the CPSA going to a ground that will not allow plastic for competition it would effectively be putting the last nail in the coffin.

The simple consideration for a ground should be that it complies to Cpsa rules and regs so plastic must be allowed.

Why "must " they be considering EJC?

In any event i shot plastic there at the worlds i am more than certain that they would allow it for another large event!

This is a pole instigated by an individual and not under the banner of any organisation you are acting like it was an official poll of members of the CPSA it is to gauge feeling and holds no more sway than if we had one here!

Is there someone on here that knows how to set up a poll so we can lay this Plastic/Fibre to rest?

I think there is a myth, heard for years now, that CPSA events must allow plastic wad. I don’t think it’s mentioned in any rules and I’ve shot many reg shoots that dictated fibre. (Waits while Schmokin sifts through rules 😀 )

Nah,did that for the Compak thread 😵...maybe i was overstating it should have termed it an unwritten requirement.

What i can imagine for some of the larger shoots is people saying i am not travelling from a different country to shoot fibre!

I can think of people that wouldn't travel an hour to do it.

I think it is possible we are all getting our panties in a tangle over fibre versus plastic ?

Let's wait and see who does what , when , and why !
