CPSA Membership price rise?

It's not so much the price rise (although I think that's hard to justify). It's the price of membership that I think's unreasonable. Taking into account what we get on return I simply don't think £63 is value for money.

Well it's official, had my membership renewal in the post today, £63 is the figure quoted, where the hell am I supposed to get that extra quid from, I can't afford this extravagance any longer, I'm off !!!! Anyone wanna buy a Krieghoff ?? Oh I do make myself laff !!!!

Aye, re the Krieghoff - if you decide to sell let me have first chance. I have a missing fence post at the bottom of the garden.

I don't like them either, and I owned one. Ed makes his work well, but its not a standard one. Besides, have you noticed that you never see Ed and Dynamo the magician in the same room at the same time? I think Ed (Dynamo) makes his work by tricking the eye. He's C class really. )

Took the plunge and renewed my membership today, until a better alternative is found, guess I will stick with them. 

The main reason I took up this sport is for Competitions and the selection shoots and you have to be in it to win as they say.  :kiss:

I was toying with membership for the CPSA as a lot of the time I will be shooting clays this year to get back into the swing of things and practice BUT I also have the opportunity to do some rough shooting with a good friend who is a headkeeper of a big estate so question is should I opt to join BASC instead, they both offer insurances for both game and clay from what I can see, bit of a dilemma both organisations do a sterling job but dont fancy joining both, from what I can see the CPSA more aimed at the competition side of this sport so leaning towards the BASC, sorry just off on a tangent again!

If I were you I'd join the CPSA, you say you will be shooting a lot of clays, might as well have the ability to shoot registered competition's then. Insurance wise, BASC doesn't bring anything to the table that CPSA insurance dosent cover...
