You could wear one backwards - it won't stop any bits getting in your eyes, but it will stop them from going down the back or your neck!!!!!!!
Maybe although I've been hit so many times, hands, arms, shoulders, back, even the edge of my ear! By both shot and clays! I like Skeet UK's idea and I think somewhere in the depths of a wardrobe I have a similar hat, I'm going to fish it out and maybe try it.

And the point is....?

No one like a slow pull
so , no Olympic skeet , trap/trench then ? that`s a slow pull quite often?   don't mind the odd slow pull, myself,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Sian,

If you are going to wear one, wear the best.

There is only one - Akubra

thanks for the clarity on DTL , I suppose this is why it`s now done with a mike in front,,, so the trappers don't have too much to think about. it is a very difficult discipline,, doing the same thing a hundred times,,,, ,,,,,  just saying.

:fie:  I can remember when I had just started shooting clays about 1966 or so? Bob Browning  (Blandford & Dorchester G.C.)

asked me to button a DTL squad, all went well till the first shooter to misss a bird hollered slow pull! so I gave him the bird again, another minute or so he missed another? Slow Pull he hollered. F*** you I hollered and flung the button at him and walked away and the rest of the squad clapped!
Its good that you have mellowed with age then...
