Take em further out in future ! 😁
I reckon it was 60mtrs out doing c.80mph and coming out of the sun when I hit it, but then again I have been known to over exaggerate slightly on occasions🤣 it was probably 10mtrs away and as fast as a snail in reality😁

So annoying! Feel for you, always keep my gun in a slip when I'm not shooting to stop this sort of thing.
Thanks Oldblaster, I keep it in the slip as well - but this pesky bit hit whilst I was shooting😁 I've got over the upset now and might just shove some chewing gum in it😋

I'm no expert, but I'd be tempted to drip some (black or grey?) epoxy resin into it and then level it down. You could drill it out a more regular shape before filling it too. I don't think I would be confident enough to paint it to match. A surfboard repairer might be a good port of call. The other thing I might consider is trying to work a pattern or decorative metal design over it to cover it.. Like a repair tattoo.
Cheers barryfzr that sounds a great call! I'm a bit to shakey with the Black & Decker to try it myself so a surfer dude may be the man for me!😁

Or make sure you smoke 'em!

Simpler answer , there are thousands of laminated rifle and air rifle stocks in use daily they get made , customised , bedded , repaired every day of the week . Just contact a decent gunsmith who has a competent stocker working for them . Wiseman’s at Cannock , Brian Webster , and The Woodworking Gunsmith at Thimbleby are just 3 that spring to mind that I’ve used . It worth getting it professionally repaired as it will knock hundreds off the value of your gun yet only cost a very modest sum to repair . Bear in mind that to go to anyone who is not a gunsmith for a repair you will have to take the stock off . You can’t leave a gun with a surfer dude !
