Yes he does, and he can ambush them too! but he was doing it for years when you knew what targets you where getting. http://www.tirovesti.co.uk/

Ah right I see.........I think........all this ambush stuff sounds like something out of an old western film!!!!! So all these ladder ribs are not truly essential then by the look of it!!!  :hunter:
No, they are not essential, especially with the new randomness of it, but the fact remains I can see certain targets coming for longer, or to put it another way, I feel I have a bigger window.

Re Peru if you watch it you will see what i mean, they don't look like 24g

well i think that has covered everything i needed to know so once again thank you for taking the time to reply it was most helpful. I will report back after Sunday. If for any reason i don't make it i will certainly try it soon been meaning to for a while.

Jake, In your opinion what percentage of the top DT shooters still use flat rib guns?

In GB I can only really think of Walton, there is maybe a few juniors knocking on the door with flat ribs.
In the rest of the World I think people are still figuring out best configuration for the new rules, most still favouring mid to high ribs, but the Italians shoot it best with flat ribs in my opinion, no surprise there really.

Sorry Jake another question.........why do the Italians shoot best with flat ribs?

Ips, I would like to offer my advice to you, to reciprocate what you have done for me recently, but sadly it would do you no good at all! (As you know).

I still feel bad now!

They just seem to be shooting the biggest scores using flat ribs, using good technique and a lower gun, I said it's no surprise because that's what Italians do best isn't it? shooting there own guns at Trap targets.

I might give this DT a go this weekend just for fun, I have shot quite a lot of double rise but never DT so any tips on the best way to shoot it would be very welcome.PS - I will probably use the std DT10 as its a bit higher in the comb.PPS - paul120, see pm
can't do it this weekend. I'll pm you when I can find a proper keyboard to type. Still up for OT next weekend or ABT the week after.

Weather not looking good for the OT on Sunday at SC either!!!! 31mph wind gusting to 59mph (SSE), rain 70% possible!!!!!!! We are on flood alert/warning again down here, harbour and river both gone over the top yet again. Roll on summer!!!!

Re Peru if you watch it you will see what i mean.
Watching the Peru coverage makes me a bit cross. Have you ever seen such an atrocious back ground for a World Cup event! The random bare trees must have made it a bloody nightmare to shoot. Come on ISSF you must be able to do better than that!
And breath

I know mate the OT final was obviously very difficult for them too, as you say terrible background.

Ok might get to shoot this tommorow but its 150 so 75 pairs how does that work as in how many lines my math aint working as 5 pegs x 3 pairs from each is 15 pairs so 4 of them is 60 which isnt 75 ?

am I being thick here ?

Maybe 5 rounds of 30 targets per round? 150 in total.

5 stands with 3 pairs from each stand is 30 birds or 15 pairs

Then 5 rounds would be 5 x 30 (or 15 pairs) which is 150.

Alternatively, don't get on peg 1, keep shooting till they tell you to stop and follow what No.1 does (that's No.1 shooter not No.1topdog or you will end up in a muddy field shooting driven!!)

Still with me???   :sarcastic: Good luck Ips! You have to be smart to shoot Trap, I always said that!!
