Yes must have caught them at a bad time will

Went back to royal Berkshire on the way home

bumped into shoot clay boys

Jezza baker and Edd Solomans

just like to say what a top bloke Edd is  very approachable

polite makes time for you and let me fondle his new K gun

Very impressive Great ambassador for our sport

Cheers for the kind words Pete and was nice to have a chat!

had to rush round churchills as was on at RBSS at 1, didn't get to finish sadly but wouldn't have trouble the top. A couple nice birds on but a bit too much straight at it stuff for me, still- always a nice trip there as a very well run ground with great staff.

RBSS was a bit more my bag and felt I did it justice a little better with a bit more time on my side!

Edd your welcome

i like to say it as I see it

I only managed two 17s on the tower but really enjoyed it and

will  definetly go back again

your 22 was a bit special in those conditions enjoy your place

at the top of the leaderboard !!

Still good going mate! Yes was very happy for first go but the 3 I missed weren't the tough ones!

We all see it differently but based on today I wouldn't be surprised to see a few big ones at the top, think 22 will be a way back at the end of it!

well shot at EJC mate still good going ?

Today was missing some long targets at EJC. They are usually there. Last month had some stonkers!

Lot of 'birds-only' entries. I thought there was plenty of money in that part of the world.

You know the saying got to be in it to win it

£84 squid for a class win pretty good I'd say

perhaps bisodan  will take us for a pint after his win

yesterday !!

Is £84 the norm? I assumed it was around the £40 mark.

Is the prize fund per class determined by number of competition entries in that class?

Even if I won my class on my next two shoots I would still be down overall so happy saving the fiver each time.

Well it shouldn't be less than the total raised by entries in that class - but often is as organisers add all the prize fund together then divide it by the number of classes. This tends to favour AA which often has the lowest number of entrants. Plus the overall winner more often than not comes from AA so they do quite well out of the prize fund overall. The high gun prize should come from the organisers but rarely does. They rely on shooters lack of knowledge about the prize fund and its distribution - or maybe they don't understand it either.

Wylee

very well put mr s

only one ground that springs to mind that conducts itself in

this manner !!

URCHFONT  stonkingly hard targets too tough for the

EGO merchants out there

but best payout bar none and a ground owner that is one of the

best coaches out there

Also you don't get insulted or fed full of bull

EJC put up the HG themselves, then pay back all the comp money. As you say, divided by classes, although that looks pretty fair anyway when you examine the entry list.

Thats good then Will. Transparency is essential when prize money is involved or accusations and mutterings can be heard from shooters very quickly.

Do all the grounds you go to adhere to the rules? i.e.. entries and prize fund announced when the last entries time has just passed. Prize fund distribution announced not long after. If they are doing it properly then there is nothing to prevent this happening.

Ha ha. Since making AA the idea of prize money has been a long way down my list of worries..

EJC publish a full breakdown on their website. (Or did).
