WTF is the ref asking about the kitemark on a shooters glasses for,and asking them to leave the cage.A CE mark is probably more likely these days anyway.

The CPSA only RECOMMEND a minimum of BS EN 166F in the hand books,so it up to the shooter how best he/she wants to protect themselves, and what glasses they wear.

As for the weather that will always play a part in a competition that is run over x number of days.Looks like Sunday is going to be the best day.

As for ED's comment, surely overhead targets should never be set so they fly directly into the sun at anytime of the day.
haha told me on our first std 11 could not shoot unless I had a hat on !!!! pointed out shooters on stds either side of us were not wearing them ?? well he said you must here !!!!!!!!!!!

Clynt. Absolute joke its afew years since I shot in english open never had any of that nonsense atb

shot this yesterday in some arduous  varying weather conditions, and to sum  it up, the word frustrating would be the polite description..... why do thing's go so wrong ? squad time's failed big time ! issues with target visibility ! why so many targets carrying the technical label (easy to use this, description, when good combinations :fie:   are lacking ?)  issues with stand numbers ! fence posts in front of you when shooting low wind affected targets ! our squad had one member who had his slot on the master score card filled in before we had even shot !(so incurring more delays at each stand ) shooting ground choice on a bank holiday weekend where the drive home time can treble !

you can't help feeling it could and should be a far better experience, for the time and cost involved , all the above bar the weather could have been a lot better,

Mark Winser carding a 98 can only be described as incredible, in what ever conditions he shot in, this may in a indirect way mask over a lot of what was poor at this venue/major ?

To have the mind set to cope with days like this , is a thing only so many people have, unfortunately yet again I have to admit .... I aint got it
Clynt basically my friend I've been all over the world shooting & game shooting, take it as ' they have had your money in advance and don't give a sh@t' and I'm afraid that's the truth !!!! When you get better treatment at ur local club it's time to save ur £50 menbership and razzmatazz entry and shoot shi@e at the straw bailers, I do wish Gurston etc mold etc we're still alive in this sport :-(
