yes i saw them and have a quote from them. its actually cheaper to go to italy to perazzi to get a stock custom made. Ideally i'd like a recoil reducer too (injury would benefit from it) but the null doesnt have them at present but they did suggest they are developing one in the next few years. whereas a custom essevierre or perazzi stock can have one fitted...

In a few years, :???: that's good of them :.: . It just looks as though that tube thing is tailor made for an adjustable compression type of shock absorber, wouldn't have thought it'd take yeeeears to develop.

you'd think. cant imagine the patents are that tight.....

Stu, I can give you the name and number of a good stocker in Somerset if you'd like? He will make any model, and he's a stockist of Nill-Griffe.

just spoken to him, what a gentleman! all round nice chap.

4 month wait on custom stocks or nill grip quicker....

Dennis and I spent some time developing that one and it wouldn't be fair on Dennis to talk about price - you have to start with the blank. Today's Pull shows Rod Gould with a later one.

My advice on thumbgrips: because your thumb is an inch closer to your face, the stock feels shorter and I would add a quarter inch to your normal length.

Would not a Precision Stock be cheaper and incorporate a Graco or Danuser?

There is no doubt in my mind that the boutique stockers of Gardone have it down to a fine art, but they have geared up for efficient production.

Here in the UK our craftsmen are more concerned with whether to progress to Liptons from the tried and tested PG or Tetley's.

You could of course consider approaching an air rifle custom stock maker, there are a number of them about producing very fine work.

i guess you are seeing more and more people at the top level on nill grips now though?

I tried a couple of the Nill-Griffes, and whilst they are very good, great wood, and they do the job - the possible adjustments are amazing -, they look a little......wrong? My opinion only, being rather more a traditionalist! I love the thumb grip, but being a gentleman of the larger persuasion (!) it needs to be made to measure!

If the old bugger pulls his finger out, I'll post a pic of mine soon! :D
