This is how the grip went. I left it to dennis to devise the chequering pattern. None of us had seen one before..

yes i saw them and have a quote from them. its actually cheaper to go to italy to perazzi to get a stock custom made. Ideally i'd like a recoil reducer too (injury would benefit from it) but the null doesnt have them at present but they did suggest they are developing one in the next few years. whereas a custom essevierre or perazzi stock can have one fitted...
Stu, Dennis St is the man in the UK for these. I looked at them as well. Recoil is dealt with as they can fit every bit of you to within an inch of your life.....similar price to a trip to Italy. I am going to see how i get on now that i have lobbed and inch of the stock.....and if i have cocked it up.....this is the next step for me....... :D

Hand goes same place everytime, in my case I used to pull the trigger up [see profile photo] now I pull it back. It's in the manufacturers interests to make 1000 guns identical it's not in the shooter's interest. I've advised newbie to use the nill-griff to find his measurements before getting the stock made.

40UP ( David), You raise a very good point about pulling the trigger back or lifting it up. Depending how the gunmaker pivots the trigger can influence the action of the index finger, the positioning of the hand and the wrap of the thumb. Blaser are particularly poor with a very forward positioned front to the comb causing it to interfere with the base of the thumb.

I had a custom thumbhole stock made for a Teknys partly for this very reason, it certainly makes the pull feel lighter.

thanks for the info

my old perazzi used to give me a dead arm as the grip was soooo long, i changed to a tight radius grip trap stock and it fixed that problem straight away
