Honestly, I first got interested in clay shooting on a corporate event back in May. Did quite well apparently on my fist few lessons and was advised to try out competitive ESP. With this and the alleged cheating etc, it’s marking me think twice if this is something I want to get involved with or if I’d rather just ‘hobby’ shoot 
Do give it a go, a decent time wise go, the Essex is a stand alone (non-CPSA) event so the "rules" are fairly flexible, as for the other matter, whatever the outcome its a "rare as hens teeth" scenario, in my experience 99% of the people Ive met out shooting are decent ladies, girls, boys & men, its the 1% that gets the press so to speak.
