well I found a chap quite local to me who had some top 1's in his stock 28gram after reading some of the comments thought I would give them a go so bought a slab of 9's and one of 7's and shot them through a gun I picked up yesterday in a part ex deal and wanted to make sure it worked ok more than anything, score was 67 ex 75 which I did not think was to bad for a first try with gun and shell.my question is what are differences in the cartridge range I am against paying fortunes for shells I like to stick under 180 a thousand what are the best fiocchi's to use as an all rounder.

I shoot f blacks sporting at everything cost about 180/1000 give really good breaks but above all im confident with them, now available in fibre

www.proshock.co.uk

I shot f blu on a pool shoot once and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone as I won it

Really good

Shoot Fblue regular away, hits are good when I point the gun in the right direction. Spot on shell for the money, last lot I bought were £167/1000

I was shooting Eley Superbs but have since changed to Fiocchi FBlacks but equally like the FBlu...good price and good cartridge

Golden.....just saying...

(In preference to everything)

I tried to buy some Fiocchis last month at Eastern Sporting but they wouldn't sell them to me - they said they had all been recalled - something to do with wads sticking in the barrels.  I was disappointed as I knew the following weekend would be my last shoot for a while and I wanted to give the 24g skeet loads a try, especially as you wax so lyrical about them Nicola.

Not heard of that either......but I will find out ASAP.

Which type of Fiocchi did you try to buy?

(P.s. I don't wax lyrical about anything.....but I do share fantastic things with people that relate to making shooting easier for people. It is good to share info  .....true story ).

I didn't get as far as specifying what I wanted, as when I asked for Fiocchi they said I couldn't have them.  I bought something else and at the till I said what had happened and she said (the till operator/co-owner) that they 'were waiting for them to be picked up'.  This was on 15/16 th October.

Tim....can you remember specifically what was said about the wads?

Umm... possibly, 'that there had been reported cases of the wads sticking in the ends of the barrels', by users.  The cartridge guy there said 'not so much of a problem for o/u's as you can easily check, but a much bigger problem for repeaters'.  Not sure if this is much help and sorry for the delay in responding.

Where can you buy Fiocchi in Kent?
Where abouts in Kent are you?  We buy Fiocchi for to sell at our strawbaler from Sussex Guns, Battle. Might be a bit far to travel if you're East Kent.

I have looked on the web but can find nothing about any recall apart from some rifle ammo.i always check my barrels before loading anyway.on first impressions they seem to be a reasonable cartridge for the price they are a little dirtier than some I have used but I clean after every outing anyway.

Been using Fiocchi 28gms since I started shooting in Feb, because thats what the club stocks, never had a problem with them...I have tried a few others but to be honest, never noticed any difference, its a bit like guitar strings, everyone raved about Elixor strings, they are double the price, but I tried them anyway, they were no bloody different than the Martin bronze or Gibson lights that I usually buy tbh, Is it that people just like to have favourite 'Flavours' of things when they take up a hobby or what? Or am I missing something?
