Hi Nicola.

As you know I had a bit of an issue with a Top One fibre going phut and wad sticking in barrel.

Not long after furnishing you with details and photo's, I heard that that particular batch was deemed to be faulty and re-called so job done.

Now as I know only too well from work experience, you will never eliminate this type of incident, no matter how good your quality control is, it will only reduce the ratio.

This episode hasn't stopped me using Fiocchi carts since because they listened to customer feedback and responded accordingly and hopefully stopping the issue occurring again.

At the end of the day, we are all free to make the choice of cartridge we use. I don't have a problem with that.

I do however have a problem when people tell me I should be using some other brand. Why? - I wouldn't dream of trying to change their choice. If you are happy with your choice and they work for you, then stick with it.

If we all listened to other people's "advice" all the time, many gun and car manufactures would have gone out of business long ago.

Just my view of course - it's a free world (so I'm told).......
I totally agree with you. I hate being told what to do. But I am happy to answer questions of what I think are the best....IMHO...and have no problem saying it. People then do with it what they want.

I don't shoot Fiocchi because I can't buy them locally.

I'd love to comment on them, but I cannot as I have no experience of them.

I collect cartridges, but have very few Fiocchis in my collection.

So if anybody wants to send me the ones they don't have confidence in, I'll test them for you and add my tuppence worth.

Well, you've got to try???

Don't tell me Topdog "Your collections are a thousand of each"

Well I like Fiocchi. I have shot Hull and Eley as they were the cartridges that worked best in the guns i had at the time. Fiocchi just pattern the best in my Perazzi so that is what I shoot. With my favorite Muller choke in the bottom barrel and pocketfuls of Fiocchi Golden Trap I shot my first 100 straight ( 100 / 294 ). I then got dragged around the sporting layout and put in 48 ex 50.

Maybe it was the planets aligning, maybe it was my fabulous shooting glasses from Mr Lyons, maybe it was the new stock with an ISIS 2 and an X-pad. Whatever it was I had total confidence in everything I was using and I won't be changing a thing.
