It's been discussed for newbies. On the one hand, why not? Life is for living.

Personally, I hate coming home from a shoot feeling beaten up. Fitasc is typically comprised of some harder targets, coupled with the added dimensions of shooting fully gun-down and with the concentration required to remember the menu of targets. I had a go after about a year and did 'OK'.

My personal recommendation would be have a go when you are very comfortable with ESP and after you are hitting at least the occasional 70+ at that, at reasonable shoots. Just my opinion. Tin hat on..

It's go to be done Jason...It's a tough discipline with some tough targets, but the satisfaction when you hit some of those long targets is second to none. The format often means that shooting 100 targets takes most of the day, if you like that, then give it a go. It's very social, most shooters are very welcoming, and it takes no time to get used to the rules. IMHO the most enjoyable & challenging discipline out there.

Just go for it, best dicsipline in shooting and we've only done 2 days at it but it does take all day, the best fun you'll have !!

Go for it, the worst thing that can happen is you will miss a few! FITASC isnt as hard as people think, the targets are generally similar to what you see on the sporting shoots. There will be the odd good oldschool shoot whih shoots hard but largely those days are gone (sadly).

If you have the time to do it then do, its very social discipline and you will see a good variety of birds.

go for it - the variety and social side is excellent, even if your scores are not

Forgive me but I am just a numb nut trappy, whats the difference with fitasc and bog standard sporting ?

About 38 traps for 75 targets. Clearing your brain is a no no. Gun waist high for a overhead target from behind, you're about level with the midsight. Off to Hodnet now.

Cheers, have a good weekend Fred i am off to mini ips in Windsor so see you next sat

Try that Windsor Farm Shop, I thing Prince Charles or The Queen owns it. Nice pies in there, just make sure your credit card will take the strain though mate. Spam? I aint had that in bloody years mate, my computer gets plenty of it though. :.:

And mine Les, although I have tried it once, and really enjoyed it.

Costs a fortune to set up with all the traps and the labour needed, thus the high price.

45 quid for 100 thats a good price for spam :)

Yep been to farm shop many times only 5mins from mini ips. Good shop and surprisingly good pie. Yes it is owned by Mr and Mrs Edinburgh
