frustration is a loss of control

I like that

Actually I'm sponsored by my back pocket as well.  Which is why I make a point of being a discerning and informed buyer when that time comes.  Obviously, if you were more discerning it would be less of a impact to YOUR back pocket.

And about that distraction stuff.  The hard, simple truth is that for, oh, about 99+% of shooters performance has no impact on their life. Aside from the ridiculous expenditure of finances to indulge the consequences are a non-event.  The easiest way to discard the distraction/frustration is to discard the notion that it matters.  Once you reach the GAF level it actually becomes a pleasant pastime again.

I offer this up as the wisdom  of age to save you the agonies that will eventually not even be retained in the memory banks.

I got a bit annoyed at one point yesterday.  Was shooting with Rosso, he finished so I entered the cage.

Set up with my kill-point, wound back to my hold-point, then eyes to where I first saw the target "puuuuulllllll" nothing came out, turned round and the poor scorer had just had a load of cards dumped on his board.  Surely the people who were trying to offload their cards could see this?
Did the scorer give you the OK BEFORE you made ready ?

Yep, I looked behind and asked.  It was only after nothing came out of the trap I looked behind again only to see that he had a load of cards dumped on his board.

It is a problem using young scorers who can be easily bullied, had that happened to me,  those cards would have been on the floor !  I will ALWAYS await my opportunity to submit my card to the Ref/Scorer. Likewise, I always wait for them and the surrounding crowd to get back on their feet after I leave the cage with my auto, before asking for my card back !
