Quite. Greasing the same points on both forend and action makes no sense. Should grease the barrel lugs too.Not sure I like the idea of degreasing the workings of the gun and not re oiling/greasing?
This is odd for me too.Not sure I like the idea of degreasing the workings of the gun and not re oiling/greasing?
To be fair we never saw the whole of the video he may have applied something later on. When I bought my gun the previous owner had never shot it for more than ten years and the action and trigger were really gummed up with the old oil. I completely degreased it to remove the gunk and then dried it down for about half an hour in a warm oven. I thin oiled all the parts that needed it.. job done! One thing to bear in mind when using solvent cleaners is that as the evaporate off the gun parts get very cold, if you are in a warm humid environment moisture will condense on the cold metal which is why I dry it down in a warm dry atmosphere prior to oiling.Quite. Greasing the same points on both forend and action makes no sense. Should grease the barrel lugs too.
I think he a better shot than a gun cleaner.
