You can indeed Robert, but not a Sporter with a trap or adjustable stock.
there are some oddities around i bought a grade one trap which came with an adjustable stock and is fixed 1/2 and 3/4 out of all the guns i have it seems the best balanced and needs the least amount of adjustment. You can indeed Robert, but not a Sporter with a trap or adjustable stock.
Check out tom Tristan's posts in the recent purchase picture thread in general shooting . page 7. Mk38 sporter with browning adjustable trap stock .new from dealer.
just trying to help. maybe you should send a pm to Tom and ask him about the dealer he bought from. You can indeed Robert, but not a Sporter with a trap or adjustable stock.
First post ... don't judge me. The Australian market receives a Mk38 sporter whose dimensions are matched in height at comb and heel as well as cast by the Mk38 Trap model with straight stock. We also get a Trap gun Mk38 with adjustable comb, 30" vented barrels and a unique forend that it looks like I'll be purchasing for Sporting and then relieving the chokes at a later date.
Ask a decent dealer what he can do for you, the catalogue is just a guideline really. I've seen mk38 Sporter fitted with Trap woodwork and vice versa if you go to a good shop anything is possibleNot trying to gainsay you Jasper - merely pointing out that the required combination doesn't appear in the catalogue!
My better half has a 682L Trap which she uses for sporting. I dropped the stock off it the other day and was mystified as to why there would be a yellow paint dot left on the inlet.Back in the day of the 682X, I think pre-92 or so, Beretta had four different height MC stocks and three or four different for the straight comb. They were color coded with a paint dot in the inletting - green, yellow, white, and red. I don't remember the height for the different colors and I've tried to find out but no one seems to know and only the people at Rich Cole Beretta even remember they existed.
