JonSkeet,I ordered a spring set for my auto, thanks for the link.
No probs :) I have been really impressed with them.  Need to order some more myself ready for when they need doing again.

To be honest, I hate doing it.But......I do it properly every time I take a gun out.In the 40 odd years I've been shooting, I've never had any rust problems and never had any real trouble with my guns. I use Napier gun cleaner/oil and a bit of gun grease every time.I re-oil the stocks about every two months to keep them looking tip top.It keeps the guns resale value at maximum./wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-wink.gif

I personally don't mind it, but I have got it down to a fine art these days! I clean it at the end of every weekend, as soon as I get home I strip it down pop out the ejectors and wipe any old grease off. Run through the barrels with copper brush attached to cordless drill to remove plastic fouling.Pop out chokes and wipe off and refitLightly grease ejectors and refit.Clean reciever reassemble gunQuick squirt of gun oil into barrels and store barrels down in gun cabinetTakes about 10 mins

Who the heck is Atintell..........does that computer speak mean anything to anyone or have we been spammed?????

Spam post removed.... unusual, only the second we've had...

I have always cleaned my gun after use.Never had a problem with rust or anything like it, but only last week I was told of a chap who didn't clean his gun and ignored the build up of plastic forward of the forcing cones.Well he ignored it until the barrels rusted BAD underneath the plastic build up. It was just caught in time.I immediately began to remove all plastic fouling from my guns and will continue to do so.( Miroku's used to be notorious for  rust in the chambers)

All yours will be spotless as most of them never see daylight. ;-))You can clean mine if you want.

Maxum, don't you mean my wallet?/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif

Gotta love a well rehearsed cleaning ritual after a morning of fun... especially after some fibre wads and mildly moist stuff /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif

Just found a cleaning kit in the draw here! Was from last years dutch grand prix! May take it tomorrow and give the gun a quick pull through! /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif

I don't clean mine that often. Maybe once every few months, just to remove the crap from the barrels.

I clean my o/u after each use and really enjoy doing it, my semi on the other hand rarely gets cleaned, hate doing it.

I do mine after each trip out - I find it strangely theraputic - but the level of clean it gets does vary.

For instance, every once in a while it gets a thorough going over: the chokes come out, threads cleaned and lightly oiled, that sort of thing - but mostly it's a brush up the bores followed by a jag, mop and a general going over with a clean rag and a dab of oil where appropriate.

just done mine, Mrs fuz got it out the slip, quick wipe over and in the cabinet :D

Did mine for the first time in ages after last weeks soaking. Quite like doing a proper job every now and then, can get it looking like new. Not interested in doing it every week though :-(

Hate cleaning mine! but do it pretty much after every shoot if i do one day a week if im doing a couple of days on the bounce then tend to leave it til after the last. it would be nice if there was a cleaning stand that does it for you? anybody ever seen one at any of the big events?
