No the first time out this season. Mary just brought Milo along to the shoot to stand back and watch what was going on and to socialise with the other gun's and beater's dogs. He had her off her feet on the first drive, I shot a cock bird that landed in the field behind me and he was off like like a shot (excuse pun) to retrieve it. Thirty kilos of instant canine acceleration, she didn't stand a chance.ha,
you done much with him this season Phil ?
So the next thing you need to get is a side by side!!! Beretta do a rather nice one Ian.........cheers Gavin, yes mate I now fully understand that sentiment. For the record we never had pets growing up I didn't even like dogs. Lynn had a cat when we met 18 yrs ago that was my introduction to pets. I got eze in Jan 15 at 6 months old my first ever dog. Now I get it.
Good looking strong dog you've got there Phil and he sounds like he's keen with natural ability if he retrieved a bird form the ditch first time at a shoot. Here's a proper gun dog Ian. We think he had a little wee up against the Beretta, he thought it was a fence post.

Thank you, we keep control of his diet so he doesn't get overweight. We re-homed him in the middle of December last, got him from the breeder when he was 21 months old. He's working stock with 23 Field Trial Champions in his pedigree, but he and we haven't had the training. He came out on our Christmas shoot last season and retrieved a Woodcock and Pheasant I shot in the woods so he's got some idea of what to do. It needs harnessing so that he's controlled, rather than him tearing about enjoying himself.Good looking strong dog you've got there Phil and he sounds like he's keen with natural ability if he retrieved a bird form the ditch first time at a shoot.
Bet is was you Phil, blaming it on the poor lad...... Tut Tut....Here's a proper gun dog Ian. We think he had a little wee up against the Beretta, he thought it was a fence post.
