I'm booked on at 12.40 on Saturday.

Never shot at any grounds down there so looking forward to it.

Seeing folks seem to be bigging up Mr Lyons here, thanks to him and my RE Rangers the sun holds no problems for me either.  Can't hit the damn things regardless of whether I can see 'em or not!

Just had to change my booking on this as i managed to book on fathers day, (the Wife has plans for me, says I should spend time with the Boy!!) anyway I have moved to 12:20 Friday. Hope its not raining.

if it does rain. I hope its stopped by 3.00 Going up after work on Wednesday for some sneaky practice.  :hunter:   :hunter:

I'm booked in for Wednesday at 11am, but I have polarized lenses from sports vision specialist Ed Lyons so sunlight holds no fear for me. It will be great to have an excuse for missing though, thanks for that.
I've just shot at Shooting Targets in the early afternoon and I take this back. Polarised lenses cannot stand up to the full glare of the 2pm sun when the clay travels across the face of the sun.

Your be going back for a refund on those magical glasses then Liz, just the same if you buy them from the pound shop. :sarcastic:

I think they were £20 or similar price. The advanced prescription elements like prisms combined with my other annoyingly complicated vision needs were extra of course, then a bit more for being able to take shot in the face and have my eyes fully protected, and other optional extras like that. Polarised filters were separate.

The the fashion police came along and issued me a huge fecking fine.

Very cool Liz  :keeporder:

Right, well, today has dawned horribly bright and sunny. I do not do well in heat, so that's at least 50 points dropped right there :) I'm praying for cloud cover by 11 o'o'clock. A freak rainstorm to bring the temperature down would be even better.

Hey Liz your picture looks as if you have got that CSI Miami "Horatio Caine" look going on :)

Popped up to Targets last night for the usual Wednesday night practice. The stands used for the Jack Pyke were obviously closed to practice, but I did see Stand 11 being shot.

How did you get on with the bunnies @Liz ?

The sun was very low in the sky at 7.30 and that yellow rabbit came out quite quick, even with my super tinted Oakley s that are supposed to make yellow/orange "pop" it was virtually invisible to me.

Shooting this tomorrow afternoon, and it looks like it might be cloudy, so I'll see how I get on then.

good luck to my pal Graham Rowley shooting this today without me unfortunately . also to everyone else shooting this event have a great time.
