struggled with my K80 took 3months to get it shooting right thanks to dr.clint, got to the stage i was going to put fence posts in with it ., but stuck with it and just love it,  the best handling gun ive used and soaks recoil up, just stick with it mate and hopefully it will come good... /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif

You will have to learn to shoot it but when you do they are the most stable and consistent guns out there. If you try and shoot it like you did the DT10 you will find it hard work, you will need to make some tweaks!

I got my k80 in April I used to shot  a 682 gold e , so the k80 did take some getting used to but now I haveI would never change to any other gun.

Got mine early on in my `career`, while fishing for results as a learner. Got rid of it and wish I still had it to try. Also gutted as I gave it away for possibly £2k less than it would sell for now. Grrr..CSC3

Had my pro rib for nearly two years now. Initially used almost exclusively for skeet, but recently started doing some more sporting. I wouldn't part with it, hopefully it's a lifetime gun. Shame they are so overpriced in the UK.  I was shooting a DT10 prior to the K80, and it did take a little while to make the changeover.

I shoot a Perazzi MX12 now. Dont get me wrong, its great. When I sold my K80, I realised that I had never had the comb set high enough. I just feel that now I am more experienced I could benefit from the gun. If they were inexpensive, I would probably get one to try, but it would be a very expensive dabble now.. I ought to try and borrow one. If I lived near a dealer, I am sure I would be pursuing it.. CSC3

MX12 is a lovely gun , and I do think you have to have the comb slightly higher then on other guns

What sort of money are K80s then? Not that I'm in the market for a gun.......
Good second hand £7500 upwards new start at about £9000 and go upwards from there. Jon.

Clever - you're welcome to shoot a round with mine when we coincide at a shoot. I really like the high rib now, but it did take a little getting used to. Bob

I picked up a K80 30ins from West Country Guns last week to sell on and have been playing around with it. I haven't shot a competition with it yet but I expect that will happen in the next couple of weeks. They are remarkable guns, especially when compared to Perazzi, but they do shoot beautifully. This one has the WCG stock configuration, which is basically Miroku'ish and it seems to shoot where I'm looking. Trigger pulls are really good, recoil is minimal with 28gms., non-existent with 24gms. You do need to adopt a different method of shooting though, more deliberate I think and quick, short crossers need to be planned really well as it tends to need a bit more driving, eight and a half pounds might have something to do with it! Although my MX12 weighs that with 32ins trap barrels. Patterns seem tight, two half chokes will break anything or seem to anyway. A 60 yard crosser broke really well yesterday so half will be my maximum I think. So, we'll see. It might prove to be an interesting few weeks. Its still for sale though.
