Purely out of interest how many clay shooting regulars have not shot live birds of any type, most people i know myself included came into clay shooting to get some trigger time to sharpen up for various types of game/vermin shooting.

Me for one, shoot wildfowl, crows, pigeons pheasant etc

Shoot driven game in season.

Shoot decoyed Pigeon and Roosting Pidgeons on three local estates.

Just joining other syndicate for next season of Pheasant. £1500 for eight days. Not bad I hope.

shoot pigeons - pick up on a local pheasant shoot so shoot on beaters and outside days

Started on clays for fun with friends. Then got drawn into shooting a bit of game with invites from friends, but never really loved it. Competition clay shoots for me all day long now..

Lots of rabbits in the past, odd day on pigeons but clays are easier they come when you call pull and the next pair is the same as the last, if you can get live quarry to do that then your a better man than me ..

I shoot live birds much better than clays! Pheasants, pigeons, doves, red wing black birds, crows, ducs, geese of all types, partridge, woodcock, vairous big game including this year a SCI Gold Waterbuck and a 200M + SCI gold Blessbuck. I have shot and eaten bear (very good eating), deer, moose, cariboo and many with handguns! It has been 3 trying weekends trying to shoot marmottes! Between the fox, cayotee and farmers poisoning, there are very little left!

Henry ;)

Never shot anything feather or fur (don't fancy it) - clays only for me!

Shoot everything I can live. From grouse to magpies.

Uncle owns a farm so came through shooting vermin and then game.

Used to shoot wildfowl, pigeons, rabbits and a bit of game but have not shot live targets for 30 years. Not against it just found clay shooting more fun although if the marshes that I used to shoot still available, I would shoot widfowl again.
