I've finally registered with the CPSA, whoohoo. I did it so I could shoot the FITASC at the World Champ at Churchill - which I did. Never realised it would actually take the whole *day* to shoot 100 carts, it was hot, I was bored out of my mind and quite frankly more or less gave up the last set at 16:30. Shot 19, 15 (stand from the scafolding), 18, and .. 13 -- on probably the easiest course -- ouch. But hey, that was still a good experience I suppose :)

I'm still not entirely sure how you guys do it tho -- 2, 3 shoot in a single day sometimes? I only ever managed to shoot the CPSA (targets only) at Churchills -- what am I doing wrong? I could possibly do AGL -- but it's a on a *friday* and I'd have to do the M25/M1 bits with everyone else?

What other shoot could I do from the berks area, that doesn't require taking holidays?

Berkshire is dearly missing more registered shoots. In fact it’s incredible that a big county has only 1 ground, Four Counties. I’m in east Berks, but actually can get to lots of grounds within an hour or so, taking in Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Hampshire mainly. Specifically weekends, Owls Lodge, Horne, Westfield, Four Counties, maybe Southdown

fitasc    over priced and over rated      just my opinion

Dr.

Or you could say FITASC is highly priced ( to cover infrastructure , small required entry numbers to cope , number of traps used) Highly rated , Highly enjoyable for the participants.😊

Here we go again..less staff should make it cheaper

Not everywhere takes all day to shoot FITASC,you should try shooting DTL like watching paint dry all day!

In all fairness using the Worlds as an example isn't accurate because of the numbers involved, most regular reg shoots can be tackled in under 3 hours, some take much less time if you plan it right. You need to visit as many as you can get within a 2 hour radius and after a while you'll get a good idea of what times/order will work best if you intend to squeeze more than two into a single day.

ps. Fitasc is burgers served with panache and white table cloths.
