Just wanted to say thanks for a great day shooting, even though I won the RBS trophy! :king:

I shot the sport trap (compak) too well and then could not keep it up for the sporting!! :hunter:

Dude, sounds like a complete success! Glad it went well for you all - I know what the organisation of these events can like, and it's not easy or straight forward - well done Growler!

Some photos from today including groups at the start and some at the end but mostly my squad shooting the day.  Some have ended up upside down which hopefully Matt can sort out - Please Matt :)

very good pictures and thank you for taking them Robert, there are some very good pictures of are team and of how each shooter has there own style that works for them! :)

Well done to everyone who braved the weather, so pleased it went well today - I did try to keep in touch with the ground from Belfast today. Next time I will be there for the Growler!!!

Sounded a great time was had by all and lots of money for charity.

Great day. Even Lord Harris raised a smile.
Only because he got a bottle of single malt in the fur n feather :D

Echo the thoughts of all above, nice day out, good company and a lot of bangs. What more could one want?

Just like to say thank you to everyone, to think that Graham got involved in this after I allegedly told him to pack it in if he wasn't enjoying his shooting.

( I never did, nor never would tell anyone to pack in shooting , bye the way).

What a great day, and I hope that all of you enjoyed yourself, met up with an old friend who was glad his lad had buggered off to Belfast so even he had a good day.

I think photograph 7602 says it all,  'Feel the Luv',  she is looking so adoring at her man. ( Probably thinking 'what's he broke now?')

Thanks everyone for a great day.

As Maxum would say " Can we shoot some more?"

As above, well done Growl and Mrs, had a ball!  Good to put some names to faces at last - and good luck to his Lordship for what's to come...he knows what I mean.

Apart from the rugby, a washing machine flood to come home to kinda spoiled the end of the day, but I still had a great time!

Great day out - really nice to put names to faces, I look foward to meeting as many of the "growlers" as possible in the near future.

Many thanks to Matt, Growler and the Coley Team

I'm sorry I couldn't make it, but I'll be there next time you wait and see even if I have to put her in doors in a home for the weekend  :sarcastic:  (Not really) Any how I'm really pleased you all had a great day I'm so envious of you all :thumbsu:  Many congratulations to Growler for all his hard work and not forgetting his better half to. Well done mate.

Well,

Firstly sorry this has taken a while to post, but was otherwise engaged last night.

Secondly, what a day?  Absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!

For those that couldn't make it - you missed an absolute belter.

The day was started with a bacon sarny in the cafe before we were coralled into the DTL area and spilt into our respective groups.

Half of us started with the DTL, DT and Sportrap, with the other half going off to do the Sporting.

Having never shot DTL or DT before I found this an enjoyable experience and I fancy having a go at DTL again if I can find somewhere local to shoot it.

We then moved straight onto the Sporting, where I missed loads! and then paused a for a nice bowl of Chilli & a welcome sit down.

We finished with the 5 man flush - superb fun and the only time during the day where most things I pointed my barrels towards (rather than at) broke...........bloody typical.  What the flush did teach me was that when I relax and don't think too much but trust my instincts, I can hit 'em.  Shame that only occurred to me at the end of the day, as my scores will testify.

So,

A HUGE thank you to Graham and Sam for organising a superb event at which, and I obviously speak for EVERYONE that was there, every one of us had a whale of a time.

My thanks also to Robert and ' the Coleys' for their input to the day.

It was great to meet all the faces that go with the names.

To Matt and the instructor that helped Mark with his shooting, he sends huge thanks, he too had a fantastic day and will now continue to shoot when he can.  He was really impressed with the general attitiude of all the 'shooters' there, and was made to feel very welcome.  Had a huge grin on his face all the way home.

Lastly to Graham, thanks for bringing the raffle forward just because we had to depart.  Btw - we made it back just in time!

In summary?  A f@@kin' ace day and a pleasure to meet all, even though I shot like a blind man!!

Count me in for all future events.  Roll on July!!

Trying to up load more photos ............ Watch this Space........
