Hi all I have taken the plunge with a trap gun and bought myself a tidy old miroku 7000 tr! And I would like any thoughts on a new recoil pad? It has an old browning brown honey comb type on it ATM but would like to update it as it's a bit ropey! It measures 30 mm toe, 24 mm centre and 30 mm heel! It fits my shoulder quite well with this type of curve, any suggestions?

Forgot to mention chokes has full set of flush fit! But I prefer extended type! Just personal for ease of checking them! Has invector type I think!

I have fitted an Isis green pad and Briley extended chokes to my Miroku trap gun, but I use it for sporting targets. I think a more 'profiled' trap pad would be preferable for shooting just trap. The Isis pad is great for gun down disciplines and is a vast improvement in stopping the 'bounce' associated with the standard Miroku trap pad.

I know dr lector just a shame to have a 30yr old pad on what looks and shoots like an up to date gun! Plus recoil pad tech has moved on a bit since 1983!

I was looking at kick ezz trap pads they do a mod version aswell as standard! Any info? Battue?
Well i prefer kick-eez to isis pads (i have had both makes over the years) You can grind them to fit, if you need, say a bit off the side or the top etc to aid mounting.

There are various places that stock them, but best do a search as the prices do vary.

Just get one that suits your needs really

Jimbob,

I have a Kickeez trap pad you can have, it was fitted to my Browning Ultra XTR when I brought it and changed it for a ISIS pad, personally prefer ISIS to Kickeez.

It measures, approx, length 130mm, 40mm across the top mounting hole and 38mm across the bottom hole and is around 30mm deep at the middle.

Standard Brieley extended chokes are a fantastic choke and at a fair price. Have a look at Chris Potter's online shop, he carries the full range. The Brieley Spectrum chokes are lighter up front if that is an issue. Be careful of the titanium chokes they don't like steel shot.
